 Horizons of Kent & Queen Anne’s, an academic and enrichment program for under-resourced children in Kent and Queen Anne’s counties, seeks candidates for the following positions:

Lead Teacher

CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO:

-Motivate students to set and master goals

-Plan, prepare, and deliver relevant, age-appropriate, and engaging lessons

-Maintain a safe, organized, and orderly classroom environment

-Maintain student records; assess and report on student progress

-Reinforce character lessons and support positive choices

-Provide enriching learning experiences outside of the traditional classroom

-Utilize technology and hands-on learning strategies to enhance learning

-Comply with all safety rules and regulations

-Perform any other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

-1 + years teaching experience with current teacher certification

-Background check compliance to work with children

-Knowledge of Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards

-Strong written and oral communication skills

-CPR/First Aid Certification

DATES NEEDED: 

May 20, 2023 & June 20, 2023 to July 28, 2023 (M,T,W,TH,F) 

LOCATIONS: The Kent School or The Gunston School

COMPENSATION:  (depending on experience)

CERTIFIED MED TECH

CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO:

- Administer daily and as needed medications per physician orders and

document accordingly.

- Monitor the health room under the guidance of a Health Supervisor

- Comply with all regulations outlined in our health plan

- Actively provide assistance to the Site Director

- Accurately collect and record attendance data.

- Accurately collect and record breakfast and lunch data

- Maintain a safe, organized, and orderly environment

- Follow all established rules and procedures responsibly

- Maintain professional relationships with staff and students

- Attend all required staff meetings

- Perform any other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 1+ years of administering medications

- Medicine Technician Certification

-

CPR/First Aid Certification

- Excellent listening and communication skills

DATES NEEDED:

June 20, 2023- July 28, 2023 (M,T,W,TH,F)
